The KINOX – International Film Festival was created to celebrate the seventh art as an artistic expression and a symbol of human values, promoting democratic access to culture.

It will take place from August 5th to 8th, 2026, connecting national and international filmmakers through competitive screenings in the Regional, Minas Gerais, National, and International categories.

The program will occupy various spaces in the city, including Praça 1º de Maio and the Fundação Aperam Acesita amphitheater, with film screenings, practical workshops on screenwriting, cinematography, and acting, as well as lectures by renowned figures. The festival also offers cash prizes and trophies for the highlights of each category.

The stainless steel trophy is a symbol of the region. To conclude the celebration, the event will feature a major national concert.
